FAQsQuestions & Answers on Banners, Signs, Decals and more.

Are Your Banners Weatherproof?

Yes. Most all styles of banners we produce are completely weatherproof.

So you might wonder how exactly are banners deemed weatherproof? Well, simply put, they to utilize a weatherproof based substrate and incorporate weatherproof inks or lettering that can withstand prolonged outdoor use. All our vinyl banner material is PVC-based (plastic) which gives the blank banner material weatherproof capabilities. Both digitally printed and cut vinyl lettered banners utilize durable 10 oz. and 13 oz. vinyl banner materials to be printed on or have cut vinyl lettered adhered too. For digitally printed vinyl banners, we use weatherproof fade-resistant inks; whereas our cut vinyl lettered banners have weatherproof colored vinyl adhered to the front of a weatherproof vinyl banner material.

We make and produce a wide variety of different banners styles, most of which are weatherproof. A weatherproof banner will withstand and last in an outdoor environment under normal weather circumstances like rain, snow, wind and sun. But for those of you living in unusually windy areas, or are planning on placing a banner in an extremely windy location, we suggest looking into mesh banners or a flag banner, over a vinyl banner, as a more weatherproof banner option. (Vinyl banners can act as a sail, and depending on how and where the banner is installed, can end up being destroyed by high winds.)

All our vinyl banner based products (standard banners, tear resistant banners, over-sized banners, mesh banners, over-the-street banners, step and repeat banners, screen printed banners, light pole banners, double-sided banners and lettering only banners) are weatherproof and intended for lifetime indoor use and long term outdoor use. We also do produce other banner products, like table cover banners or paper poster banners, that are not weatherproof and can be damaged if utilized for outdoor signage. So to ensure that your outdoor signs are weatherproof you'll need to order a banner that has a vinyl material base for sure.

Our mesh banners and wind and flag banners are also printed on weatherproof banner materials, and employ weatherproof inks, making them durable for long term outdoor use as well. Mesh banners are digitally printed on a perforated vinyl banner material and are highly recommended for windy areas. While our wind banners are printed onto a light weight woven fabric material, that is weatherproof and blows easily in the wind just like a flag, which is another great banner choice for locations that experience very windy conditions on a normal basis.
