Custom Magnetic Signs for your Vehicle!
When it comes to magnetic sign sizes, there really is no standard size.
With so many makes and models of vehicles traversing the roads these days, it would be hard to pin down a standard magnetic sign size that best fits all vehicles. We do however have a guideline that is followed when it comes to magnetic sign sizes to determine what size might best fit certain types of vehicles. For instance, for a small compact car the recommended size would be 10" x 18"; for mid-size sedan style cars we'd recommend an 11" x 20" magnetic sign; and for larger cars like trucks and vans a 12" x 24" magnetic sign would probably work well.
Of course, the sizes above are in no way considered a standard magnetic sign size, but typically we've found that the above stated sizes tend to fit within the available door space of the vehicle. But when determining a proper size magnetic sign, it is always best to measure out the space where you plan on placing your magnetic sign for accuracy. Magnetic signs need to lay flat on the vehicle to avoid fly-offs. If you order a magnetic sign size that does not fit your vehicle properly, you run the risk of losing it.
Okay, so now that we've covered standard sizing for magnetic signs to fit vehicle doors, let's move onto the different spots on vehicles like trucks or vans that can accommodate magnetic signs for mobile advertising. When outfitting trucks or vans with magnetic signs, you are not limited to just the door area like typical cars. Trucks and vans have completely different body styles where you can advertise on your tailgate, utility door, sliding door, truck bed, etc. Those locations definitely don't have any standard magnetic sign size criteria. So in essence, if you place an order for magnetic signs that will be placed all around your vehicle, don't choose the same size for each magnetic sign. A 12" x 24" magnetic door sign may not fit the tailgate area of your truck or the utility door on the back of your van.
