Promote your product using signage

And by promotion, I mean promotional items! I don't know about you, but, I know my household (and my work desk) has collected quite a few promotional items over the years that are used practically everyday, that have either been purchased or given to me along the way. My morning coffee, is drank lovingly, from a local insurance company coffee mug emblazoned with their name and logo; the almighty pen that aides in my writing endeavors, promotes a stud welding company that has "millions of studs in stock" (not quite sure where I got that one from); the mouse pad I acquired from attending last year's national sign company convention in Long Beach; my very own personalized business cards, that I keep handy to pass out to prospective companies or individuals, that are interested in the company I work for and the products we carry; and lastly my custom made company t-shirt that I proudly wear for work attire, that also makes it's way into my weekend wardrobe on occasion...just to name a few.

All these items are very handy and useful, in my everyday life, on and off the clock. Take a look around your home or office and see how many promotional items inhabit your personal space and I bet you will notice that there are a lot! But let's get back to the basics and start with two essential self-promotional items that get your name/company information generating and get you visually seen or identified in the community or workplace.

BUSINESS CARDS:
Business cards are a self-promotional staple item that every business, company, or service provider needs (corporate or personal). Most consumers have at least one business card in their wallet or purse, to retain the necessary information to obtain or inquire about a product or service they desire, at a later date. The other side of the coin is the actual company or individuals passing out business cards to interested clientele. Business cards get your name out there, not only to one person, but to many all at once through osmosis. How many times, as a person or business, have you been referred to company through a friend, colleague or co-worker because of a business card they have acquired, or vice-versa? Or how many times have you needed a service and checked through your stash of business cards, for a local company or business, that can assist you with your service or need. In the end business cards are, and will always be, the most conducive promotional item a company, business or person can purchase and pass out to promote themselves among their industry and to the public at large.

WEARABLES (T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Sports Shirts, Hoodies, Long Sleeve Shirts):
Another great promotional item for companies, business, teams and individuals are in the form of wearables (garments that advertise, promote or identify). This form of promotion is a little more versatile than business cards, because it is actually worn serving as a walking billboard, that can be seen by possibly hundreds of people in a day and can be utilized for business or pleasure. Wearables can be purchased by businesses and implemented in a company-wide dress code or worn at trade show events to enhance your company appearance in a professional manner; or for pleasure to give out to the relatives for special family events or even to outfit the local soccer team you may be coaching.
